EDMONTON - Emma Kary's 28 points, along with a defence that allowed the visitor to shoot just 25%, powered the Alberta Pandas to a 75-47 win over the Brandon Bocats on Saturday night at Saville Community Sports Centre. 

After a slow start, Kary finished the night shooting 10/22, including making six of her 10 shots from beyond the arc. The fifth-year Pandas guard also added eight rebounds and three assists, as Alberta improved to 13-3 in conference play. Rookie Panda Reece Hall also contributed a career-high 15 rebounds, to go along with 13 points and nine rebounds from Claire Signatovich. 

Faith Clearsky led the winless Bobcats (0-16) with 14 points, thanks to a perfect 9/9 night from the charity stripe. Team captain Chelsea Misskey also added eight points and two assists. After a 20-point night on Friday, Reetta Tulkki was held off the scoresheet, going 0/7 shooting in 31 minutes on the floor for Brandon. 

QUICK HITTERS

• Brandon led 9-4 in the midway through the first quarter, but managed to score just four more points for the entire first half. Alberta led 31-13 after 20. 
• Both teams struggled in the opening quarter, combining to make just eight of 34. Brandon went just 3/18 in the opening frame, including going 0/5 from deep. 
• The Pandas cleaned up on the glass, out-rebounding Brandon 57-29, including having a 24-9 edge in offensive boards. 
• Like they did on Friday, Alberta dominated inside the paint, outscoring Brandon 32-14. 
• Signatovich finished just one rebound shy of her 11th double-double of the season. 
• 14 of Kary's 28 points came in the third quarter. Kary shot 3/11 in the first half, before heating up and shooting 7/11 in the second half.
