Arrival
Located on North Campus, Clare Drake Arena is home to Golden Bears and Pandas Hockey, as well as numerous Campus & Community Recreation programming. The venue is named after former University of Alberta Golden Bears hockey coach, Clare Drake, who led the Golden Bears to 697 career wins.
Directions
Clare Drake Arena is located in the Van Vliet Complex, which is north of 87th Ave. between 114th St and 115th St.
87th Avenue can be easily accessed from the north via Groat Road or the High Level Bridge and from the south via 109th, 111th and 114th St.
Parking
Ample parking is available around Clare Drake Arena. The closest parking lot is “Stadium Carpark” north west of the venue. (Located on 89thAve. & between 115th + 116thSt.).
Another lot is “Education Car Park” to the east (located on 114th St & 87 Ave) or “Jubilee Carpark” to the south east (located on 87 Ave between 114th and 115th St).
Maximum rates from 6:00pm – 6:00am and on the weekends are $5.50
Public Transportation
ETS: The bus stop located closest to Clare Drake Arena is #2890 (114thSt & 89Ave.) The bus routes 4, 7, 51, 54, 57, 94, 106, 128, 130 stop there. Close by are the University Transit Centre stops #2001 and #2002.

LRT: The closest LRT station from Clare Drake Arena is on 114th St & 89 Ave, it is the underground “University LRT Station”.
Foote Field, located on the University of Alberta's South Campus, is a multi-use sport training and competition facility, designed for football, track and field and soccer. In addition to being the home venue for the Golden Bears Football and Golden Bears and Pandas track and field, soccer and rugby, it also hosts academic classes, intramurals, and recreational programming.
Directions
Foote Field is located at 11601-68 Ave at the U of A’s south campus. There are two entrances – one on 113 St. south of 76 Avenue and one on Belgravia Road east of the Fox Drive turnoff and west of 114 St.
Parking
Fans attending Foote Field events may park in any open lot on the U of A south campus. Any locations not available will be clearly marked. Parking exists immediately adjacent to the stadium, in lots surrounding the Neil Crawford Centre and around the Saville Centre.
Parking at South Campus is very limited. With other events going on at Saville Community Sports Centre, it is recommended to use local transit (ETS, LRT).
Park & Ride is also available at Southgate Mall on the upper P3 level on the west parkade deck, just off 111 Street.

| SAVILLE COMMUNITY SPORTS CENTRE |
The Saville Community Sports Centre (SCSC) is a multi-sport recreation facility managed and operated by the University of Alberta's Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation. The Competition Gym, located in the West Wing of the SCSC is home to our Golden Bears and Pandas basketball and volleyball teams.
Directions
Saville Community Sports Centre is located at 11610 – 65 Ave at the U of A’s south campus. The venue can be easily accessed from the east via 113th St & 65 Ave, or from the west via 122nd St & 65 Ave.
Parking
Fans attending Saville events may park in any open lot on the University of Alberta south campus. Any locations not available will be clearly marked. Parking exists immediately adjacent to and surrounding the Saville Centre.
Parking at South Campus is very limited. With other events going on at Saville Community Sports Centre, it is recommended to use local transit (ETS, LRT).
Park & Ride is also available at Southgate Mall on the upper P3 level on the west parkade deck, just off 111 Street.

*Effective October 1, 2020, paid parking will be implemented in select areas of the parking lot located outside of the Saville Community Sports Centre. This pilot project of select paid parking on South Campus, will assist the University of Alberta Parking Services recover costs associated with the parking operation and maintenance of the parking lots on South Campus. These paid spaces will be clearly signed and can only be purchased for a maximum of 4 hours on a weekday. This will help mitigate the use of Park & Ride. The parking rates will be as follows:
$2.50/2 hours; $5.00/4 hours; $10.00 all day on weekends and designated tournament days.
The majority of Lot J (main Saville parking lot), as well as the parking lot at Foote Field will remain free of charge. This would include all accessible parking spaces adjacent to the Saville Community Sports Centre for vehicles with disabled placards. Additional free parking continues to be available evenings and weekends at the adjacent Government of Alberta parking lots.
During COVID if you do happen to have to park at Foote Field or at the Government lots, please be aware that the North entrance doors to the facility are not accessible. Only the South Entrance doors are open for public access.

Ticketing Information
Digital tickets provide a safe and convenient way to access Golden Bears & Pandas events, as well as distribute your seats to friends, family, and others. Reserved seating is now available in addition to general admission seats. We encourage fans to purchase their tickets in advance. Find the ticketing links in the menu bar above or go to betheroar.ca for all your ticketing needs.

| GAME DAY TICKET BOOTH LOCATIONS |
Tickets are available for purchase on event night at the ticket booth of each respective venue. Ticket booths will be open one hour prior to game time.
Clare Drake Arena
The main ticket booth is located on the main level of the west wing in Van Vliet Complex (Room 2-664). Using the Clare Drake Arena main entrance, take the stairs up and turn left.
Foote Field
The main ticket booth is located adjacent to the ramp and main entrance on the north side of the building.
Saville Community Sports Centre
The main ticket booth is located on the main floor of the west wing (orange building) of Saville Community Sport Centre. Using the south entrance into the building, the ticket booth will be on your left hand side.
Advance ticket purchases can be picked up at the Box Office (see directions above) during regular hours or prior to games. Will Call tickets that have not been picked up in advance will be available at the main ticket booth on Game Day, at each respective venue.
Cash, debit and credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express) payment options are available.
**We strongly encourage fans to purchase tickets in advance online, or pay via debit/credit for in-person transactions, to reduce the transmission of COVID-19.

The holder of a ticket agrees to abide by all policies and regulations promulgated by UofA Athletics pertaining to events held on the UofA campus. This ticket must not be resold or offered to resale in a manner or at a price in violation of any provincial or local law regulations. Tickets obtained from sources other than the University of Alberta Athletics Ticket Offices or other authorized agencies will not be honoured or refunded.

There will be no refunds, exchanges or replacements for lost, stolen or destroyed tickets. All persons 6 years and older must have a ticket to enter.

The presenter of the ticket consents to a search for prohibited items before entering. All bags are subject to search.

Fan Code of Conduct
University of Alberta Athletics is committed to serving our fans by providing a safe, comfortable and enjoyable gameday experience. Our Fan Code of Conduct has been established to ensure that your experience is consistent with our commitment:

Guests should be a positive role model for those around them. Guests will expect and encourage good displays of sportsmanship from fellow fans.

Guests should conduct themselves in a manner that represents their University, their Conference, and U SPORTS with honor, dignity, and respect.

Guests should cheer positively for their team and refrain from taunting, threatening, vulgar, abusive, racist, sexist, or demeaning remarks or gestures directed towards the coaches, student-athletes, fans, staff and game officials.

Guests should respect all facility regulations.
-
Guests should show their tickets when requested, should not stand on seats, should not stand or sit in the aisles, should not enter the playing area and should not throw any items onto the playing area.

Guests should follow all local, province, or federal laws and will follow the instructions of event staff.

Guests appearing intoxicated, inebriated or showing other signs of impairment related to alcohol consumption or drug use may be denied entry and may be subject to ejection. Intervention with an intoxicated or impaired guest will be handled in a prompt and safe manner.

Guests should wear clothing without obscene or indecent messages. Guests will remove or cover up such clothing deemed offensive or obscene upon request.

Guests should be responsible for their own conduct and the conduct of others who use their tickets.
The event staff has been trained to intervene where necessary to help ensure that the above expectations are met. Guests are encouraged to report any inappropriate behavior to the nearest event staff member or Event Supervisor. Failure to follow this code will result in ejection from the facility without refund, revocation of ticket privileges, letter of warning and/or arrest. Although season-ticket holders may provide their tickets to others, the account holder is responsible for the actions of those using their tickets.
Students involved in those activities or other disruptive behavior will also be subject to disciplinary action through The University of Alberta Student Code of Conduct. The University reserves the right to not enforce, within the sole discretion of the University, prohibited behaviors based on the interests of public safety, operational or staffing considerations or any other consideration.
Guest Services

In the event of a serious emergency at Clare Drake Arena that requires evacuation, all event staff are ready and available to assist guests, including guests with disabilities. Pertinent information regarding the emergency situation and evacuation procedures will be provided over the public address system.
Please remain calm and follow the directions of the public address announcer and nearest event staff member.

Lost items will be taken to the Facility Services desk (VVC 1-241) located on the lower level of Van Vliet Complex.
Foote Field
Lost items will be taken to the Front Desk, located at the north entrance inside the building.
Saville Community Sports Centre
Lost items will be taken to the Front Desk, located on the lower level of the west building.
Please report lost children to the nearest event staff/supervisor. Any report will be acted on immediately to locate and return the child to his or her parent(s), guardian(s) or companion(s). A public announcement may be made in the case of an emergency.

Located on the lower level of the Van Vliet Complex right next to the Sales office (1-213) and in the Students Union Building (SUB).
Foote Field
Located on the main concourse, outside of the public washrooms. Additional ATMs are located in Saville Community Sports Centre.

| ACCESSIBLE SEATING INFORMATION |
All venues are wheelchair accessible. For any concerns, please ask to speak with an Event Supervisor at the main entrance of the venue when you arrive.
- Clare Drake Arena: Seating is available at the entrance to the main seating area with additional available at the east end of the arena.
- Foote Field: Seating is located at the top of the east and west stands on the main concourse.
- Saville Community Sports Centre: Seating located on the gym floor next to the stands; spectators may also view from the 2nd level but please note that view may be obstructed due to the railing around the concourse.
Drop-off areas for passengers who require it are available at each of our venues. Drivers may drop off their passengers prior to arriving. Please note that car traffic and pedestrian traffic can be a problem if you don't arrive early. You cannot park in the drop-off areas. Similar access for passenger pickup will be provided post-event.
- Clare Drake Arena: located right outside the main entrance to Clare Drake Arena, between the arena and the Students Union Building.
- Foote Field: the roundabout located outside of the main entrance to Foote Field
- Saville Community Sports Centre: drop-off location located right in front of the main entrance to Saville West and Saville East entrances.
Please note that not all of our venues have elevator access into the venues.
- Clare Drake Arena: No elevator access into the venue. Accessible entrance and seating only available on the main level of the arena, accessible from main entrance doors.
- Foote Field: No elevator access at the venue. Accessible ramp is available at the main entrance on the north-side of the venue.
- Saville Community Sports Centre: Accessible seating is available on the court-level of the competition gym. Spectators who would like to view from the concourse level of the gym can do so by using the elevator located on the lower level located outside of the competition gym. Please note that spectators in wheelchairs or sitting on walkers may have their view obstructed due to the railing around the concourse.
Please note that not all of our venues have accessible restrooms readily available.
- Clare Drake Arena: Washrooms are not accessible to those who require it from the main concourse. Spectators who are unable to use the stairs in the venue will need to leave the venue from the main entrance. Accessible washrooms are located in the building (Van Vliet Complex) directly east of Clare Drake Arena on both level 1& 2. Accessible washrooms can also be found in the Students Union Building located directly north of Clare Drake Arena on the main floor.
- Foote Field: Accessible washrooms are located on the main concourse of Foote Field just outside the seating areas.
- Saville Community SportsCentre: Accessible washrooms are located both on the main floor or 2nd floor outside of the Competition Gym down the hallway.
Venue Policies
No pets or animals are permitted. Guide, signal and service dogs are allowed inside the venues with guests that need their assistance.
Guide dogs must remain leashed and in the possession of their owner.
To accommodate the viewing pleasure of fellow guests signs and banners may be removed at the discretion of Event Managing Staff. They will also be checked for appropriateness.
Children 5 years and under do not require a ticket to enter Golden Bears and Pandas games. Children aged 12 and under should be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please note that running in the venues is prohibited.
To help assure the safety and security of all guests at the Golden Bears and Pandas games, UofA Athletics reserves the right to ask anyone with clothing deemed to be derogatory, profane, scantily clad or offensive to remove the item or cover up the item before entry into the venue. Those who refuse to abide by the dress code policy will be denied entry or removed from the venues.
Noisemakers are allowed with the exception of air horns.
Guests can be asked to stop using the noisemakers at the discretion of Event Managing Staff if it is deemed inappropriate.
Smoking is not permitted.
The use of all types of tobacco products (including and not limited to, cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars and cigarillos, hookah smoked products, pipes, chewing, smokeless, oral tobacco and nasal tobacco) is prohibited inside all venues. This also includes any product intended to mimic tobacco products, contain tobacco flavoring, or deliver nicotine other than for the purpose of cessation, such as vapes.
If it is discovered inside the arena, the ticket holder must dispose of it immediately and face possible arena ejection.
| SOLICITATION / LITERATURE |
Resale of tickets, setting up a promotional space and/or distributing banners, booklets, business cards, circulars, commercial advertising, flyers, folders, handbills, leaflets, notices, pamphlets, posters, stickers, or any other written, printed and/or painted materials in or around the venues without the permission of The UofA Department of Athletics is prohibited.
Food and Drink
Our concession stands are open for all Golden Bears and Pandas home games! General food and beverage items will be available for purchase.
- Clare Drake Arena: located next to the main game day ticket booth during both Golden Bears & Pandas Hockey games. During Golden Bears Hockey games there is also a smaller concession stand open in the arena on the right hand side of the main level entrance. Additional food vendors are available in the cafeteria of the Students Union Building (SUB) just north of Clare Drake Arena.
- Foote Field: Two locations on the main concourse level: once next to the north ramp and another smaller one in the left corner behind the stands. Additional food vendors are also available within the Saville Community Sports Centre (SCSC) just south of Foote Field.
- Saville Community Sports Centre: located on the second level next to the NW entrance. Additional food vendors are also located on the lower level, across from the Competition Gym.

- Foote Field: located on the main concourse level near the ramp and also on the far east side on the right site of the stands.
- Saville Community Sports Centre: located on the second floor of the Competition Gym, along the north wall of the track.
