EDMONTON - Looking for their first 3-0 start in nearly two decades, the 2-0 Golden Bears pay a visit to the 2-0 Saskatchewan Huskies on Friday night in Saskatoon.Â
Alberta has opened their 2023 campaign with convincing wins over both Calgary (33-9) and Manitoba (37-16), setting up an early first-place clash with the undefeated Huskies.Â
Saskatchewan survived a scare against Manitoba in Week 1 (30-27) before crushing the Regina Rams in Week 2 (40-6).Â
While still early into 2023, the Bears and Huskies rank first and second in Canada West in scoring, yards per game, and 1st downs per game, with Alberta also ranking first in rush yards per game, 3rd down %, and time of possession.Â
