Biography

Davidiuk spent seven seasons as an assistant coach with the Bears (2013-2019), including the final three as their associate coach.

The former setter played for the Golden Bears from 2003-2005, helping guide the Bears to the 2005 Canada West and CIS Championships.

He was named a second team Canada West all-star in 2004, before being named a first team all-star and CIS All-Canadian in 2005, as well as the MVP of the CIS Championship.

Prior to joining the Bears, Davidiuk starred at setter for Red Deer College, leading the Kings to back-to-back CCAA National Championships in 2002 and 2003.

In 2002, Davidiuk was named to the First-All-Tournament Team at Nationals and received CCAA Academic All-Canadian honours. The following year, he posted one of the most decorative seasons in CCAA history.

In addition to earning a second CCAA title in 2003, Davidiuk was named to the First All-Tournament Team as well as Most Valuable Player of the National Championship. He was also named a CCAA All-Canadian and CCAA Men’s Volleyball Player of the Year.

Davidiuk then competed for the Senior National Team from 2004-12. As captain of the 2009 squad, he led his team to a berth in the 2010 FIVB World Championship in Italy.

He concluded his career with 41 international matches for Team Canada, while also playing professional volleyball overseas for several years.
