- The Pandas are the defending CW Champions and return three of the four athletes from the 2024 roster.
- Serena Gray-Withers, Catherine Clifford, Gracelyn Richards, and Zoe Cinnamon captured bronze at the 2025 World University Games last week in Turin, Italy.
- The Pandas are also the three-time defending U SPORTS Champions.
- The Bears are the five-time defending Canada West Champions, having won every conference event since it returned to Canada West in 2019.
- The Bears return the same four-person lineup from the 2024 CW Championship.
- The 2025 Championship will be a two-pool round robin, followed by a page playoff to determine the champion.Â

- The top two seeds in the Prairie Division will host the first week of playoffs, with the Saskatchewan Huskies currently joining the Pandas and Cougars with 12-2 records.
- Regina is riding a five-game win streak over the Pandas, with Alberta's last win coming on November 30, 2019.
- The Cougars and Pandas rank third and fourth in CW in points per game, with the Pandas also ranked fourth in points against.
